His love for music, particularly songs from artists like the Temptations, the Commodores, Abba, and many others, further ignited my creative spark. I still vividly recall the day he recorded Bryan Adams' "Have You Ever Loved A Woman" for me on a cassette and transcribed the lyrics so I could memorize them.
As time passed, I delved into various poetry styles from different cultures, such as haikus, sonnets, and ballads. I even explored the works of the great Bard of Avon himself. However, it was during this exploration that I realized that my best work flowed naturally when I wrote from the heart, letting words come forth unfiltered.
These words, simple at first, evolved into verses. I began crafting poems for special occasions like church functions, birthdays, funerals, weddings, and annual events like Mother's Day, Father's Day, and anniversaries.
