Introduction: The Church Must Wake Up!
We are not just believers—we are a Kingdom of priests called to awaken the spiritually dead and bring them back to Christ.
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9)
Yet today, many in the church are asleep, trapped in religious routine, complacency, or deception.

1. What It Means to Be a Kingdom of Priests
In the Old Testament, priests stood between God and the people, making sacrifices and interceding for them.
Through Jesus, we have been made priests—but now, we offer ourselves as living sacrifices.
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." (Romans 12:1)
🔥 We are called to:
Preach the Gospel and bring people to Christ (Matthew 28:19-20)
Stand in prayer for the lost and intercede for nations (Ezekiel 22:30)
Walk in holiness and be an example of Christ on earth (2 Corinthians 6:17)
Operate in spiritual gifts to reveal God’s power (1 Corinthians 12:7-11)
⚠️ But how can we fulfill our calling if we ourselves are spiritually asleep?
2. The Crisis of a Sleeping Church
Jesus warned against spiritual lukewarmness and complacency:
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth." (Revelation 3:15-16)
Signs of a Sleeping Church:
⚠️ Lack of passion for God
⚠️ No hunger for prayer or the Word
⚠️ Seeking comfort over obedience
⚠️ Fear of preaching the truth
⚠️ Living in sin without conviction
Many go to church but are not truly the Church.
Many profess Jesus but are not filled with His Spirit.
🔥 The time to wake up is NOW! 🔥
"Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." (Ephesians 5:14)
3. How to Awaken and Walk in Our Authority
We were not meant to live as passive Christians—we were meant to walk in power and authority.
"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you." (Luke 10:19)
🔥 How to Awaken as a Kingdom of Priests:
✅ Repent and Return to Your First Love
Revelation 2:4-5 – "You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first."
✅ Be Filled With the Holy Spirit
Acts 1:8 – "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses."
✅ Take Authority Over the Enemy
James 4:7 – "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
✅ Live Boldly for Christ
2 Timothy 1:7 – "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."

4. The Call to Action: Will You Answer?
The world is growing darker, and the enemy is working overtime to deceive, distract, and destroy.
But God is raising up a remnant—a Kingdom of priests—who will not bow to the world.
✔️ Will you wake up and walk in your authority?
✔️ Will you stand as an intercessor for the lost?
✔️ Will you carry the fire of the Holy Spirit wherever you go?
